The Offer will be on the basis of 9 pence in cash and 0.0375 of a Consideration Share for each Mediasurface Share. The Offer values the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Mediasurface at approximately £18.1 million and each Mediasurface Share at 15 pence, representing a premium of 150.0 per cent to the Closing Price of 6 pence per Mediasurface Share on 23 April 2008. Alterian is a international provider of enterprise management software with its headquarters in Bristol, UK but with a significant proportion of its operations in North America. The Company employs over 130 staff in the United Kingdom and North America. Since being admitted to the Official List in 2000, Alterian has grown both organically and through the completion of several acquisitions. The Alterian Directors have identified Mediasurface as a strategic acquisition to enhance the Company's online marketing software offering as well as providing a number of additional benefits. The combination of the two businesses would create an Enlarged Group with, on the basis of the last audited accounts of Alterian and Mediasurface, annualised revenues of over £30.0 million and which generates approximately 50 per cent. of its revenue from the sale of online marketing software. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close late June 2008 and the Directors expect that regardless of the outcome of these discussions, the services that Mediasurface provides to existing and future customers will be unaffected. http://www.alterian.com, http://www.mediasurface.com

Inmedius, Inc. announced the release of S1000Dmanager V3.0, the next evolution in their S1000D management. The system's new platform facilitates the professional management of content, delivering the tools and information needed to efficiently manage the S1000D publication process. Manager's technical publication lifecycle architecture adds a library and centralized control center to the system's S1000D project setup and management support capabilities. The combination of a flexible library system, Dashboard approach, and integrated business intelligence provides complete command over information assets. New functionality in the S1000Dmanager V3.0 release includes a library system where users access and view information organized by Standard Numbering System (SNS). S1000D projects are managed from within the document library where multiple users, with security access, can edit project information. With quantitative metrics, the new, centralized Dashboard provides transparency and a visual representation of the S1000D technical documentation process. Baynote, Inc. announced the availability of the Baynote Merchandizing and Editorial Console. The new management tool allows users to combine expert control with the inherent community wisdom distilled from web visitors' behaviors to optimize the delivery of product recommendations, content recommendations, and on-site search results. Baynote Recommendations and Social Search is built on a social science concept: that the collective behaviors of like-minded site visitors is the most effective way to display products and content based on a visitor's true intent. Leveraging crowd wisdom is especially important in content and product-rich "long tail" sites where manual merchandizing and editorializing is not cost or time effective. However, there are common scenarios where a merchandizing or editorial team requires the ability to exercise precise control over product and content recommendations to take into account product margin, inventory levels, promotions, breaking news, cross-channel content linking, and myriad other cases. While the new console benefits Baynote users in all vertical markets, it is particularly useful to online publishers and eCommerce businesses. http://www.baynote.comSee Baynote at Gilbane San Francisco.
