German football league club Bayer 04 Leverkusen have unveiled an enhanced website, using a Professional 4 content management server (CMS) from RedDot Solutions.
The league club wanted an online editing system that was easy to use without extensive training that could be rapidly integrated into existing applications - with the additional consideration of excellent value for money.
Editorial processing takes place under the supervision of Stefan Kusche, the club's e-editor. Eight club departments and five partners (Lindner Hotel BayArena, Bayer Gastronomie Service GmbH, McDonalds, travel agency BaySports-Travel and BayArena Magazine) use the system to post their content.
Pictures and film from publisher KS-Verlag and the latest football news from www.eurosport.de are automatically integrated into the website.
A new addition to Bayer 04's site is a virtual Internet exchange for the 2001/02 German Football League season. It's created, updated and managed using RedDot software - as are the regular features such as information about upcoming games, statistics, training, a photo gallery, youth issues, BayArena Magazine and a press archive.
The club's partner in implementing the project is multimedia agency Elephant Seven, a subsidiary of Springer & Jacoby.
