BBC to manage content production?
14 January 2002
Talking about the blurring of the lines…Hutchison 3G, holder of the UK's largest third-generation mobile phone licence, has awarded BBC Technology a contract to manage the production of its audio-visual content.
The content will be accessible through Hutchison 3G's next-generation wireless service.
The majority of Hutchison 3G stock is owned by Hong Kong's Hutchison Whampoa Ltd, with NTT DoCoMo Inc and Royal KPN NV unit KPN Mobile holding respectively 20 and 15 percent, according to sources.
