Following the completion of the Dow Jones acquisition of Factiva on December 15, 2006, the company has now a new structure which integrates the former Factiva business with Dow Jones Newswires and Dow Jones Licensing Services as part of the Enterprise Media Group.
"In this way, we bring the high-quality news and business information of our partners and the innovative technology of Factiva together with the indispensable content and editorial expertise of Dow Jones, a brand respected around the world" says Simon Alterman, outgoing vicepresident.

It will now be headed by Karin Borchert, who has been appointed vice president for global content and customer operations, who had previous roles in Factiva and Dow Jones. The Enterprise Media Group is headed by Clare Hart, former CEO of Factiva.
Alterman will be moving from his current role as vice president, content, to a new position as senior vice president for strategy & business development with the Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group says in a note to publishes "As a result, I will no longer have the day-to-day contact with publishers which I have enjoyed so much over the past few years. I will remain in Europe, travelling regularly to the United States and elsewhere, and look forward to maintaining the many relationships we have formed and to talking to you about the dizzying changes in the media world and how we can work together to exploit new opportunities there".
"They have been very close to new media publishing since the beginning of this industry, and believed in the potential of internet based news service from the start. We'll be close to them in this transition, and look forward to be working with them again in the future" says a new media publisher passing through this desk.
