OutStart, provider of software solutions for learning and knowledge sharing, has signed a strategic partnership with Vignette Corp, a leading enterprise content management, collaboration and portal software company. Recognizing the strong demand for e-learning solutions provided through portals, OutStart and Vignette have forged an alliance to more tightly integrate their respective applications.
Vignette currently uses OutStart's learning application to intelligently deliver native learning content in multiple forms of output across the entire global enterprise. As a result, Vignette has been able to:
-- Deliver learning and enablement of all employees, regardless of level or geographic location.
-- Recognize significant savings in travel costs and training room rentals.
-- Enable a completely new off-shore engineering division with real time training.
-- Realize ROI within weeks from the implementation.
"As travel budgets have become more constrained, and just in time training becoming more essential, the demand for online training has increased," said Wayne McCulloch, vice president and general manager of Education Services at Vignette. "Online training is a natural extension for companies using portal technology. By using Vignette Portal technology, just in time, personalized, training can be delivered to all employees, anywhere, anytime. We've seen firsthand the value that OutStart's solutions bring to a learning environment, and the combination of Vignette Portal and OutStart's Learning applications allows all employees to benefit."
