Blast Radius, provider of XML content creation and collaboration solutions, released its new XML authoring solutions for Documentum Webtop.
The tools integrate seamlessly with Documentum version 5.2.5 and the increasingly popular and scalable 5.3 platform released by EMC Documentum earlier this year.
With this release, Blast Radius introduces two new products, which extend XMetaL existing support of the Documentum Desktop Client:
-- XMetaL Author Documentum Webtop Edition, a native XML authoring application that gives full-time content creators an easy-to-use, flexible solution that is tightly integrated with the Documentum repository through Documentum Webtop.
-- XMetaL Express for Documentum Webtop, an embeddable version of XMetaL, used from within the Documentum Webtop interface. This solution is a flexible, cost-effective option for large enterprises that want to extend XML authoring capabilities to occasional authors such as subject matter experts.
"These new Documentum-XMetaL integrations help globally-focused businesses reuse content more effectively across their organizations, resulting in faster time-to-market, greater content quality, and more cost-effective localization," said Paul Wlodarczyk, Director, ECM Strategy at Blast Radius. "We see strong interest in XML-based content creation and delivery from customers in industries such as manufacturing, high-tech, financial services and life sciences. These organizations understand the increased demand for timely, accurate information by suppliers, partners and customers, in a variety of formats and languages."
Recently, Forrester recognized EMC as a market-leader based on the strength of EMC's enterprise content management (ECM) strategy and EMC Documentum product offering(1).
Blast Radius customers rely on Documentum and XMetaL to manage content throughout its lifecycle and to provide XML-based content in a variety of output formats to their internal and external stakeholders.
"This release signifies an important milestone for XMetaL after having supported the Documentum repository and Desktop Client in customer environments since 2001," said Dr. Bruce Sharpe, VP of Products with Blast Radius. "We are extremely excited to provide a complete offering that caters to both full time authors and occasional content contributors. Organizations understand the increased demand for timely, accurate information by partners and customers, in a variety of formats and languages," added Dr. Sharpe.
