The City of Las Vegas has selected RedDot’s Content Management Server (CMS) Professional to increase the efficiency of managing the City’s 1,500 page web site, reduce content creation cycles, streamline workflow and minimize IT’s role in publishing content.
More than 13 departments contribute daily to the site.
Being a government organization, the City of Las Vegas needs to provide up to the minute information to its 500,000 monthly site visitors.
“We needed a system with a powerful back-end but an easy front-end that would enable any one of our staff members – regardless of technology expertise – to manage online content,” said Louis Carr, Development Manager for the City of Las Vegas Department of Information Technologies.
“And from a back-end perspective, we can easily develop and create templates, standardize on other technology such as JavaScript, SQL Server or Oracle and also support ASP pages and other development languages.”
“Government entities such as the City of Las Vegas need innovative technologies, such as content management, to enhance their eGov initiatives by publishing timely and accurate content,” said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions.
“Our technology ensures only authorized content is published to the live site, reduces content production cycles and enables the IT department to focus on infrastructure, applications or other initiatives,” he said.
