Not many CMS can sit comfortably on a Mac platform, Roxen does it naturally

Roxen, one the leading European players in the CM space, launched Roxen Platform 2.1 for Mac OS X, the production version of the first Web Content Management system available on Mac OS X.
Following the recent release by Apple of Mac OS, Roxen Web Content Management perfectly matches Apple's Mac OS X, says the company
"We are proud to ship our Web Content Management product this close to the release of Mac OS X. We see Apple creating a new class of Internet servers, and Roxen Internet Software is part of the action. Roxen
Platform and Mac OS X is simply a perfect match for demanding Web sites" said Henning Strandin, Product Manager, Roxen Internet Software.
Roxen Platform blurs the boundary between text and graphics. It is not only capable of personalising text information, but also graphics at run-time, based on a visitor's access privileges and profile, and serves custom content tailored to the browser in a computer, phone, PDA or other web
access device.
For content authoring, Roxen Platform seamlessly integrates with the
favourite tools that web designers and content authors are accustomed to
working with. For instance, a web designer can start working on an image in
Photoshop by simply pressing edit in Roxen Platform's web based interface.
The image will automatically be downloaded and loaded into Photoshop.
For the Roxen platform to adapt to Mac OSX was not a problem, says a spokesperson for the company, because their technology is platform independent, their web content management system is C-based and ports to any UNIX system – all Roxen had to do was to change the interpreting language rather than re-write the code.
Roxen does not believe many other CM companies will be able to adapt their product to Mac platform as quickly, because most products would need to be re-written
Not using java-based programming language would make it more difficult for the larger companies to adapt as well.
Roxen are developing some special features for the next version of the OSX
Roxen Platform which are possible because of the MAC system.
