Content management infrastructure provider Presence Online is rebranding as Aptrix - the name of its product suite.
The company launched Aptrix Portlet Connector product and announced the extension of its product range to add small and medium businesses (SMB) to its already strong enterprise customer base.
Director Tim Birdsall says "Our name change reflects the evolution of our Aptrix product, which has already become the de facto name of the organisation. Aptrix is synonymous with top-level content management solutions and now the whole company is associated with that."
The name change also marks the next stage in the company's evolution, which
will see expanded product lines and new technology alliances.
"The Aptrix product range has not only gained widespread global acceptance at enterprise level, but has now matured to the point where it is also being commoditised to meet SMB needs," said Birdsall.
The Aptrix JumpStart offerings cover a number of solutions including JumpStart IT Intranet - which is being offered free for a limited time and can be downloaded from www.aptrix.com - and the soon-to-be-released JumpStart HR/Admin Intranet and Sales and Marketing Intranet.
Pre-built authoring templates guide users through the content creation process, freeing IT staff and resources to concentrate on mission critical rather than mundane tasks. Users can personalise content as well as the look and feel of the page layout.
The company has also launched an all-new product for the creation of portlets, the Portlet Connector, a tool to create portlets with a point-and-click interface so no programming skills are required.
Aptrix has a global marketing agreement with IBM, as well as offices in Boston, London, and Sydney (where its R&D development arm also is based). The company's client base attests to the quality of its solutions. These clients include Alcatel, Amersham biosciences, AMP Pearl, Bank of Ireland, Bital, British Airways, British Medical Association, City of Beverly Hills, City of Philadelphia, EnergyAustralia, Fresenius, Goodman Fielder, Linpac, McDonalds, Murdoch Media, Netherlands Investment Bank, Norwich Union, Optus, Royal & Sun Alliance, Safeway, Schering, Telstra, and Westpac.
