Greets all. It's done.
The site looks okay (we wanted to keep the old look and feel). Most things seem to work fine.. Surely there is a lot of fine tuning (I can see the flash banner is not completely centered all the time) and tons of possible improvements, but hay - if the site loads fast enough, the old urls redirect, and if we can manage to post content to the new site, these is what counts the most. We are still in business.
Apologies if something is still not good. If you find a bug or something that still needs doing, please sign in and post it to the Forum.
If you can help us fix a bug and/or make an improvement, we still have small budget available for patches and tweaks. Sign up on the support group here and let us know what you have in mind.
Our main open issue now is improving the taxonomy, which will take a while longer.
Content-wire thanks Affino by Emojo.com, for providing advanced content management functionalities when it was early days for CM, and not many options were out there
We now have moved to Drupal and we cannot find enough words of gratitude for the drupal community for good free software.
Also thanks to various people including Warren Noronha, Ramesh Pallikara, Isirya Praipeet who have helped us get started since the early days of the migration, to Rahel Bailie of Intentional Design for usability feedback, and to Mary Parsons for ealry testing of the user upload functionality.
Special thanks to Mike and Pip at DrupalMinds for the migration and ongoing support and patiently putting up with the challenges (good job guys).
And gratitude to our readers, contributors and those who syndicate our content!
Look forward to be getting good stories, which now you can post directly to the site instead of sending your contributions via email. Give it a try.
Now let's look ahead. Lots to be done.
Long live the internet!
