This is the first newsletter you get from us in a long time, and for many of
you, the first altogether. Sorry about the long silence. We've been busy.
We have merged all of our lists and newsletters into 'Content-Wire News', and this is the first issue. Many of you were subscribed to receive “CM News”, "Taxonomy News" and "Syndication News" and other bits, but received only sporadic mailings.
This is because, despite all good intentions of targeted segmentation, there has been too much to manage.
A lot has been done, and a lot more needs doing, all around.
Content Management is growing up.
Now the CM umbrella is becoming very big. Under CM now we find real convergence and integration of all content lifecycle technologies, and most of it is on the desktop.
Taxonomy, classification, extraction, search, syndication, tagging, process management, and a lot more, it's all becoming part of the big CM talk.
Established providers of all kinds of enterprise software are shifting their focus to CM. Smaller providers are finding their markets. Things are happening.
Content Management is the topic of the year.
The right configuration can deliver great advantages. At every level: enterprise, mid size, small and down to the individual. We realised this a few years back. Everybody seems to accept now that life on the internet is barely possible without CM tools. And there are so many aspects...
Of course CM can also be a headache, when it doesn't work and it's so expensive.
It's worth trying to get things right. The more we understand about it, the better off we are. Some faith helps.
The right information helps even more.
Stick around.
Send us your stories.
Below some recent news. More soon.
