FileNET Corporation says it has an aggressive development plan in place to partner with major enterprise portal vendors to offer integrated solutions over the next six months.
The company, along with its development partners, currently offers solutions to integrate its software with mySAP Enterprise Portal, Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server and with Plumtree Software’s Corporate Portal 4.5WS; the newest version of Plumtree’s platform.
Additionally, FileNET plans to offer out-of-the-box components that operate in portal frameworks from both BEA Systems and IBM. FileNET is developing a portlet to support integration between BEA’s WebLogic portals, which will ship with the next release of FileNET’s ECM software framework.
Enterprise portals are becoming the next generation desktop for many large corporations. Leading organizations are developing strategies to provide employees, partners and customers with secure Web-based interfaces that offer users a single point of access to information, applications and content.
The company this week also announced the general availability of its Web Content Management (WCM) with integration to the company’s Panagon platform.
Web Content Management is becoming a critical business need as digital content volumes grow exponentially.
