Emojo, developer of the Affino Content Management Suite, released the latest module to complement their Affino LX CMS product. The Taxonomy Module, being fully integrated within the CMS, enables the Taxonomy manager to instigate widespread taxonomy changes in real time. The manager takes full control using the same web browser interface that manages the website.
A Taxonomy Module pilot customer, a Local Government institution in the North of England, test drove the module as an add-on to their existing Affino site. After running Affinos OCSU (One Click Software Update) the government institution was then able to set about using the Taxonomy Management Interface located within Affinos HTML browser control system.
Ian Hinckley, Principal Technology Officer of West Lancashire District Council says that the solution is " ... unbelievably elegant to a seemingly insurmountable challenge - unavoidable as we are required to conform to government regulation guidelines. To have powerful Taxonomy capabilities suddenly 'appear' before your eyes, and then solve the compliancy problem in a single pass was an immensely satisfying experience for us."
Affinos Taxonomy module suits any organization - public or private, that needs to address growing issues with categorizing increasing volumes of content online. Alternative 'Stand Alone' Taxonomy products can be difficult to implement and integrate, make for additional points of failure, and typically are not able to sustain real time indexing.
Taxonomy Module Features Include:
Taxonomy Based Compliance Publishing Rules
Automatic / real time Meta Tagging
Automatic / real time A to Z listing and search indexing
Enhanced Search word association ('Did you mean...')
Schema Sharing via XML
External Affiliate Schema Mapping
Integrated Search Analysis (Taxonomy Performance Checking)
Real time site overview of current Taxonomy compliance status
