A working group in India issued guidelines to recommend the use of venture capital to stimulate content creation in Asia, as reported by The Financial Express
today
The working group recognises the need for creation of rich content on live events, performing arts, dance, drama, music, theatre, social issues, according to the report
and it recommends that the option of attracting venture capital in the field should also be explored.
The group has suggested that a corpus for content creation be formed and recommends the use of Internet for broadcasting.
In fact, All India Radio has already started some of its services on the Internet on an experimental basis.
The report adds: “Considering the advantages and low cost of this medium, Internet radio broadcasting should be taken up in a big way [...] so as to ensure that all the services of AIR are available on the Net in an interactive mode.”
