This is the first issue of this series of CM digests, future ones will not carry so many items. It coincides with the announcement of Microsoft acquisition of a CMS, NCompass. We think this is a meaningful step towards future web developments. Nobody can do much online without CM, and Microsoft may well have realized that. What type of CM, and how much it should be paid for, is something that we intend to find out for you. If you also subscribe to Syndication News, last week you received the first digest, and some of the words were in Icelandic language, apologies! This was due to a content management glitch - our CM is very talented but not completely disciplined yet - We hope to discuss multilingual functionality of CMS systems soon. Please also note that stories are listed alphabetically, not chronologically. Please do not re-distribute this posting, but feel free to circulate it with an invitation to join. We are very grateful if you put the word out about us. If you'd like to post any of our content on your company intranet and make sure that all of your colleagues and partners are up to date with the issues, we would be honored and make sure to give you a good licensing deal. We also happy to carry out research, write reports, consult, organize workshops and help you answer any question you may have.. Do send us your feedback, thoughts and info. Hope you are enjoying content-wire.com Looking forward to your sustained readership Your Editor Paola Di Maio
