The software contains new features designed to enhance the creation, deployment, and support of XML publishing environments. XPP is used to process and transform standardized inputs (such as XML) into high quality PDF and print output.
This latest release extends XPP's support for Unicode encoded content, making it easier to import Unicode content, work with it natively in the course of composition and revision, and deliver it to various channels as needed.
Also related to the enhanced Unicode support are improvements in XPP's sorting capabilities, enabling index sorting using language-specific collating rules. Other enhancements include support for additional graphic formats, including PDF and SVG.
Graphics in PDF or SVG form, in addition to many other graphic formats, can be included in XPP-processed documents, automatically positioned, reviewed and edited interactively, and cropped, scaled, or rotated as required.
This release also includes support for OpenType fonts. XPP 8.0 is available now.
