ClearForest, content structuring software provider, has signed as a customer Rohm and Haas Company, a worldwide producer of specialty materials, with annual sales of nearly $6 billion and more than 100 plants in 25 countries.
It will be using ClearResearch from ClearForest to gain business intelligence from numerous unstructured content sources to streamline its competitive analysis
process resulting in bringing new products to the market faster.
Rohm and Haas Company was looking for a way to improve its understanding of competitors’ products and intellectual property. The company had been using other tools that provided them with raw content, but there was no analysis or easy way to read the information.
What they needed, the company says, was a detailed, highly visual and interactive map of information.
Rohm and Haas turned to ClearResearch by ClearForest to learn new insights about the competitive landscape, which has led to changes in product strategy.
ClearResearch is an application that operates across multiple industries to gain useful business intelligence from large document collections.
The technology underlying ClearResearch reads large amounts of content from any
source (patent filing databases, research reports, internal documents, etc.), and through semantic, statistical, and structural analysis, identifies concepts, facts and events, creating a knowledge base for users to search and analyze.
